Learn the fascinating history of the early Spanish settlers. Follow the Old Spanish Road, Hwy 21, to San Francisco de los Tejas, the first Spanish Mission, cross the Trinity River to pass the lost town of Bucareli and then lunch at the Fredonia Hotel. We’ll learn the history of the Old Stone Fort and the conflicts among the early settlers. We’ll even have some time to shop in the quaint downtown.
