Sam Houston, Governor of two states, President of the Republic twice, military leader and family man, we will give you a chance to truly get to know Sam. We’ll begin at his lovely home in Huntsville and tour the Sam Houston Memorial Museum with their best local tour guides. From there we’ll head for Independence, his wife, Margaret’s last home. We’ll trace Sam’s steps through San Felipe to Washington-on-the-Brazos, then down to Gonzales where he gathered his army and then conclude with a visit to the site of his victory over Santa Anna at San Jacinto.
