Follow in the footsteps of Texas’ greatest hero as he was called on at Washington-on-the-Brazos to lead the small Texas army against Mexican General Santa Anna. From Washington-on-the-Brazos, Houston moved his men toward San Jacinto where he defeated the Mexican general on April 21, 1836. Visit the museum and home where he and Margaret lived in Huntsville. Our tour will conclude at the magnificent sculpture over Sam Houston’s grave at Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville.
