We will be visiting during the days of Mexican Independence so there will be wonderful fireworks,
parades, Father Hidalgo astride his horse and the armies marching behind him with their machetes.
-Visit the Parroquia - the impressive church of San Miguel and explore the downtown
- See Atotonilco the awe-inspiring Sistine Chapel of Mexico.
- Explore the many art galleries in San Miguel
- Revel in the evening festivities on the town square.
Itinerary
Day 1 - Fly into Guanajuato and transport to San Miguel de Allende. Check into our hotel.
Day 2 - Explore the downtown of this historic town, with time for shopping, and visiting museums.
Day 3 - Tour to primitive ruins, time for shopping before the night-time festivities.
Day 4 - Art Colony and museum tour
Day 5 - Visit Atotonilco and site of Father Hidalgo's revolt.
Day 6 - Watch the parades for the 16th.
Day 7 - Enjoy relaxing one last day.
Day 8 - Transport to Guanajuato, fly back to Houston.
